Riley Creek Opens Denver Office
New division broadens distribution options
(Laclede, ID) – Riley Creek has opened a new sales office in Denver Colorado. The distribution-focused division will provide a greater range of building products and services to Riley Creek customers.
The Denver office moves Riley Creek further into the distribution stream of building products, including the company’s own lumber, Riley Creek management said.
“We offer efficiency in the supply chain, a broad range of building product inventory, flexible purchasing options, and distribution logistics expertise from a very low cost platform,” said Erol Deren, President of Riley Creek Denver.
The company’s mill-direct sales office in Sandpoint, Idaho, will continue full operation.
Among the hires announced for the Denver office are Deren, Arnie Didier, Ken Koenig, Annette Fortune, Jon Woods, Mike Brown, Bruce McKean, Scott Vigil and Jack Prock. Combined, these people have over 140 years of industry experience.
Deren, named as President, is a 19-year industry veteran who joined the lumber business in 1987. He graduated from Humboldt State University in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Didier, named as VP, has 20 years in the building products industry. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in forest resource management.
“This is a solid group of individuals with good careers who are dedicated to this industry,” said Riley Creek President Marc Brinkmeyer. “We are extremely pleased to have people of this caliber with our organization.”

They are also outstanding inventory managers with very good market feel.”
According to industry officials, some of the benefits to Riley Creek customers and suppliers include field based inventories, job management, flexible business solutions, market analysis, risk hedging and forward price protection.
